A Matrix Model for Flat Space Quantum Gravity

چکیده

We take a step towards the non-perturbative description of two-dimensional dilaton-gravity theory which has vanishing cosmological constant and contains black holes. This is done in terms double-scaled Hermitian random matrix model non-perturbatively computes partition function for asymptotic Bondi Hamiltonian. To arrive at this connection we first construct gauge-invariant phase space determine relevant boundary conditions, compute classical S-matrix and, finally, shed light on interpretation Euclidean path integral defined previous works. then that matches topological expansion latter, to all orders. allows us fine-grained spectrum other late time observables Hilbert spaces. further study aspects semi-classical dynamics finite cut-off coupled probe matter find evidence maximally chaotic behavior out-of-time-order correlators. conclude with strategy constructing our comment treatment holes celestial holography.

We provide the first evidence for a holographic correspondence between a gravitational theory in flat space and a specific unitary field theory in one dimension lower. The gravitational theory is a flat-space limit of topologically massive gravity in three dimensions at a Chern-Simons level of k=1.
